Hayley's POV.

This is ridiculous. Did I just forget how to speak? I rested my chin on my knee and staring the carpeted floor of the guest room. I should have left him alone with the baby. But I just can't. It was completely obvious that I wanna spend some time with him. Which is probably stupid. Whatever.

"Hayley.." Josh said as he stood up from his seating position and sat down down beside me.

"Yes?" I could feel my cheeks flaming, even in the cold weather. I didn't shift my gaze, I remained still.

"Are..you mad at me?" Josh leaned in closely so that he could hear me speak.

I shook my head. "Why?"

"Well.. Umm.. You're not really talking to me that much since .." He didn't continue. "Is there something wrong?"

Yeah. There is Josh. Can't you see? Can't you hear me? What would be your reaction if I tell you that you are my problem. I don't know how will hide this feelings for you. But I guess, that's the best way for both of us. Even though, Im slightly hurt by doing this. I. Won't. Spill. Anything. No. Spilling. Of. The. Beans.

"Um.. No. No. There's none." I replied blankly. Of course, I have to lie again. What If he didn't like me at all? Even though, we've kissed many times. Or he's just playing around? Jeez. Josh. What do you want? What? My head was spinning from pondering about everything.

"I.. Uh. I have to go. See ya tomorrow. Goodnight." I whispered as I stood up and made my way outside the room. I didn't look back.

As soon as I was out of the room, I could feel different emotions towering over me. I made my way to my room, slammed the door shut, went to bed, and close my eyes.

Days went quickly. Josh and I usually spend time alone in the house because Mom and Dad usually go for early Christmas shopping. It was really awkward to wander around the house, cause I know.. his eyes were following me, wherever I go. And as for baby Scatielle,ohh.. Im gonna miss her so much. We'll be returning her as soon as our classes starts. And that's just not the way I like it. At first, I was nervous to look after her. But later then, I got used to it.

The weather hadn't been nice too. Snow just kept on pouring down, covering everything with white. The temperature got colder which made the whole neighborhood covered up with thick clothes. Yeah. I saw them when I peeked in the window. Children barely stepped outside their homes to play. I guess their parents forbid them not to spend much time outside.

The sky was painted with dark blue now. The snow haven't stopped from falling. Josh and I were hanging out now at the fireplace, to keep us warm in the middle of freezing cold weather. Scatielle was resting on my arms while Josh was drinking a hot chocolate. Mom and Dad were putting their luggage at the living room for their tomorrow's trip. They'll gonna pick Granny somewhere I don't know.

My partner Josh, decided to take Scatielle upstairs, while I was left in the fireplace.

Now what will I do? I feel something's going on inside me.

Josh's POV.

I took Scatielle upstairs, leaving Hayley in the fireplace. She said that she will go up later. She seems hiding something from me. I really love Hayley, But I dunno. If I love her as a friend, or there's something more. I felt my phone vibrating madly on my pocket as soon I reached the room. I laid Scatielle on the bed gently, grabbed my phone in my pocket and hit the answer button.

"Yeah?" I answered.

"Hi Joshielovidovi. What's up?" Selena asked fervently on the other line. There was an enthusiasm on her voice. Did she win on a lottery or what?

"Nothing new, I guess. How bout ya?" I said in a cold tone. Im not in the mood to have a little chitchat with her.

"So.. Um. Listen, I invited your family to stay over at our resthouse this Christmas." She said.

"And?" I know there's more.

"Your mom said, it's fine. I'll pick you up this sunday or monday perhaps."

"Oh. That's pretty soon. Okay. Where's the resthouse anyway? I think, I'll drive alone. I have to finish something here by that time."

"NO! It's a surprise. I don't want to spoil everything. I'll pick you and your family up, no more but's."

I didn't speak, I just waited for her to hung up. But nothing happened.

"I miss you so much Josh."

I tried not to answer back, but no. I have to. "I miss you too, Selena." I didn't mean it.

"See ya soon. I love you. Mwah." She didn't hung up. I guess she's waiting for my reply.

"I love you too, muwahhhhh." I replied. Then, at last she hung up.

Hayley's POV.

I made my way upstairs, feeling tired. Im about to stepped inside the room when I heard Josh speaking with someone. I peeked inside the open door, with my hand curled up on the doorknob. Eavesdropping, Hayley. But I can't even help it. I planned not to listen, to walk away, but when I heard Josh said Oh. That's pretty soon. Okay. Where's the resthouse anyway? I think, I'll drive alone. I have to finish something here by that time. I continue to listen. I heard him say, I love you. I miss you. Even a kiss on the phone. So, Josh is leaving again. I felt my heart crushed as he said those words on the phone. I think I'm feeling jealous. Grr. Stop. It. Hayley. Just. Stop. Thinking. About. It.

Then, I heard Josh again.

"Hello? Mom?"

"Yeah. Why did you just accept Selena's invitation thingy? Mom. I thought you wanna spend the Christmas here."

Then, he remained silent. I think, he's waiting for her Mom to answer.

"Yah. But Mom.." He said, a little bit whiny.

"Right. Bye." Then, he hung up.

His back was facing me, so I couldn't see his facial expressions. This is bad. Why do I have to eavesdrop? Grr. I took a deep breath and knock on the door quietly.

Josh faced me with a stunned expression.

"Sorry, You left the door umm. open." I said without looking deeply on his eyes.

"Oh." He replied. Then, next thing I knew. He was standing right in front of me. I didn't look up. No. I won't. Im about to turn my back to him and walk away. When he grabbed me and planted a kiss on my lips. Jeez. Why did he have to do that? When I know he has a girlfiend. Josh. Why? He tried to deepen the kiss, but I'm not kissing him back. No, not this time. I won't kiss him back. I need to control myself. I approximately pulled away, but he didn't let me go. Instead he hugged me so close. Crushing me with his brawny arms. I felt weak. I just clenched my fist and waited for him to stop. Still, no kissing back. When, he seemed to notice that I wasn't moving. He let go of me and put his hands at my jaw.

Josh's POV.

I dialed Mom's number. Jeez. Selena. I thought I can spend my Christmas here, with Hayley. But I think that's not gonna happen. I tried to ask Mom, to plead, but still, she made her decision. We're really going to Selena's resthouse. There's no point of arguing to my Mom.

"No. Josh. I made my decision. And that's final. Selena invited us because we're special and close to her. And it's time to get to know her family more. Okay? Besides, she's your girlfriend Josh. Why are you acting that way?" Mom said on the other line.

"Right, bye." I hung up.

As soon as Hayley spoke, I looked on her green eyes. But she just stared the floor. I didn't even hesitate to walk and stand in front of her. Hayley, I think you're the one I want. She tried to walk away, but I grabbed her from her wrist. Why do you have to walk away? To look the other way? I know, I can feel it Hayley. You love me. Why do you have to this to me? I kiss her trembling lips. But she didn't lock her arms around me. I deepened the kiss, but she's not kissing me back. No matter how hard I attempt to deepen the kiss, there's none. She just stayed as that. I pulled away, and hold her jaw.

"Hayley, I .. I love you." I said, looking at her teary eyes. She didn't respond. She just cried.
